Releasing Glossy Griffith University are currently looking for volunteers to help with their research project. Work involves collating data sets, bushwalking to find glossy nests, mapping of Allocasuarina stands on the Gold Coast and following up on recent sightings. If you can help please call Dr Guy Castley on 555 27784.

SEQ Catchments and the Glossy Black Conservancy are seeking tenders from companies or persons willing to develop a community education kit, incorporating materials and activities for school students. The content of the education kit is to focus on the vulnerable Glossy Black-Cockatoo, its habitat, lifecycle and threats. Applications can be submitted via email (to lgould@seqcatchments.com.au) or in a sealed envelope marked ‘Glossy Black-Cockatoo Education Kit’ to SEQ Catchments, PO Box 731, Ipswich 4305, or by hand to 52a Tiger Street, West Ipswich. The Conservancy's Envirofund Application was successful. The funds will be used to create a programme to further educate the community about Glossy Black-Cockatoos.
